Today I 've been thinking about how to cure myself of performing practical jokes in poor taste, so I've decided to carry out one which can't possibly have serious consequences or harm anybody.

Whilst I was in Mr Venanzio's room (he thoroughly enjoyed hearing about yesterday's events, by the way) I waited for him to put his glasses down on the table and I took them. Then I went into the waiting room, and when Ambrogio went into the studio to talk to Maralli, leaving his glasses on the table, I took those as well and ran to my room.

I broke the nib of one of my pens, turning it into a small screwdriver. I used this to unscrew the lens supports, I put Ambrogio's lenses in Venanzio's gold frames, and Venanzio's lenses in Ambrogio's steel frames, screwing the supports back the way they were before.

I did this so quickly that I managed to put both sets of glasses back before Ambrogio or Venanzio had realised they were missing.

I can't wait to see how this joke, which certainly couldn't be regarded as being in poor taste, works out.
